RECEPTION:
The reception office is situated on the right hand side just after the property entrance.
Reception is open from 07h00 - 22h00 daily.
All guests must check in at reception on arrival and before departure. Most debit/credit cards are accepted at reception for payment. If you are interested in utilizing the laundry service please inform management at reception on arrival.

The following are all available at reception:
- Ice, firewood, fire lighters and other odds and ends are available for purchase.
- Off the property activities such as game drives, boat fishing, Swaziland day tour, Mozambique (Maputo) day tour and others activities can be booked for you at reception.
- Fishing tackle is available to rent and limited fishing tackle, baits and artificial lures are available for purchase.

PARKING:
Parking is provided for directly adjacent your chalet or cottage for your convenience. Should anything larger than a small to medium size trailer be in tow then reception must please be informed and consulted about additional parking required for large trailers or boats in tow.
SECURITY:
Komati River Chalets is situated on 12 acres of privately owned land. The 12 acre estate is enclosed by an electrified security fence. There are also security guards patrolling the property from sun set to sun up for our guests convenience and safety. Please be aware that the estate is a wilderness area and hippo's often come up from the river to the estate gardens in the evenings to graze. Crocodiles are resident in the Komati River so no swimming in the river is permitted at any time.
RESTAURANT & BAR
A full stomach makes for a happy heart.

The restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday for breakfast and dinner only. With dining areas both indoors and outdoors, patrons are able to cosy up inside or dine outside overlooking the pool and gardens. The menu is simple and offers a variety of homely dishes. A children's menu is available for hassle free family dining. The bar adjacent the restaurant is open from mid-afternoon allowing guests the opportunity to sit back relax and enjoy a well-earned sun downer.
POOL
H2O = 2 parts heart & 1 part obsession.
A non-heated swimming pool is situated in front of the restaurant and bar and is for exclusive use of in house guests of Komati River Chalets.
WiFi, ELECTRICITY & WATER
WiFi is like Faith - Its invisible but it connects you to what you need
WiFi:
Free Wifi is available in all chalets, cottages and common areas. Please note that although our internet service provider is generally very reliable, connectivity can be lost for a number of reasons outside the control of Komati River Chalets at any time.

ELECTRICITY:
Komati River Chalets runs off the South African (Eskom) power grid. In the event of a power cut a standby generator will then continue to provide power between the hours of 05h30 and 23h00. All accommodations are provided with candles and matches for light after 22h00 in the event of a power cut.

WATER:
The water provided from taps in all accommodations is safe for human consumption as it is supplied from a borehole. The ground water from the borehole has a fairly high lime content which gives the water a soft texture. All efforts have been made to reduce the lime content from the water in the form of water filters fitted to water pipes outside of each accommodation.

HOUSE KEEPING, CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

Free daily house keeping is provided in all chalets and cottages. Check in on arrival is from 12h00 and check out on departure is before 09h30.
GARDENS, RIVER, KIDS & MORE

GARDENS & RIVER:
The 12 acre property is a blend of beautifully cultivated gardens, river bushveld and Komati River frontage. Please note that the river is home to resident Hippo and Crocodiles and no swimming in the river is permitted.

KIDS:
Komati River Chalets is child friendly. For their delight and convenience a pool, a jungle gym with slide, a trampoline, a number of different swings sets and a beach volleyball court are all available at no charge for kids and their parents to enjoy. A volley ball is available at reception.
